Lee “PSG is one of the best in the world”…to play in South Korea next month
French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain’s Lee Kang-in has given an interview to the club and expressed his feelings about joining the club.
After signing the first Korean player in the club’s history, Paris Saint-Germain will visit South Korea next month to launch a full-scale marketing campaign.
Kwak Jun-young is the reporter.
When asked why he decided to join PSG, Lee Kang-in’s answer was clear.
“Because it’s one of the best clubs in the world, and I think I can do better and help the team if I play with so many good players…”
This is how he describes himself as a player.
“I think he’s a player who plays a lot of close to the goal, who has the ability to do a lot of things, to make assists, to hit shots…”
He’ll have to adjust to life in France after leaving Spain, where he’s lived since the age of 10, but he’s more excited than worried.
“I think it’s natural to embrace the French culture and I think it’s important to learn French as soon as possible. I think there are things I’m looking forward to and things I’m excited about.”
Lee revealed that he is already familiar with the French league, having watched his national team seniors play in the past.
As PSG’s first Korean player, he said he will do his best to represent his country and asked for a lot of support.
“I will do my best and always do my best to be good and helpful to the team, so please give me a lot of attention and support in the future.”
It won’t be long before we get to see the much-anticipated Lee in action in a PSG jersey.
After their tour of Japan at the end of the month, PSG will travel to South Korea for their final match against Inter Milan, and will play a friendly against K League club Jeonbuk Hyundai in Busan on the 3rd of next month.
However, we won’t be able to see the international strikers Cho Kyu-sung and Lee Kang-in, who both play for Jeonbuk.
Cho Kyu-sung left the country after bidding farewell to his fans after the last match against FC Seoul and is currently eyeing a move to Danish side Midtjylland.
