Richarlison ‘Leave Again’, this time the aftereffects of injury…”SON TOP” continues

After recently admitting to a psychological breakdown, the Frenchman will miss this week’s game due to injury again.

Head coach Anzhi Postecoglou revealed the news during his pre-match press conference against Nottingham Forest at Tottenham’s training ground, Hotspur Way, in London, England, on Saturday (June 6).

Tottenham will host Nottingham Forest in the 32nd round of the 2023-2024 Premier League season at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Aug. 8 at 2 p.m.

Spurs remain in a tight race for fourth place. Spurs currently sit in fifth place (17 wins, 6 draws, 7 losses, 57 points), two points clear of fourth place (18 wins, 5 draws, 8 losses, 59 points). With one game less to play, Spurs still have a chance.

In a press conference ahead of the match, Postecoglou revealed that Hicharisson suffered a knee injury. He said: “Brennan Johnson has no problem. The only problem is with Hicharisson. His knee has been bothering him in recent weeks. We feel it is best for him to take this week off and prepare for the Newcastle United game.”

The Frenchman had already missed two games in early March against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa due to a knee injury sustained in February. He returned from the injury and has started the last three games as a substitute, but is not yet fully fit.

In total, he has missed five games this season due to a groin injury and a knee injury in the first half of the season. This season, he has scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 25 league appearances and has rediscovered the decisiveness he showed at Everton.

In his first season at Tottenham in 2022-2023, he had one goal and four assists in 27 league games, his worst campaign since moving to Europe. He was underutilized in Antonio Conte’s system, resulting in a lack of league goals.

He scored his first league goal in the 34th round away to Liverpool, but last season was a difficult one for the Frenchman, who struggled with calf and hamstring injuries.

At the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, Hicharisson had a strong showing, including a goal and an assist in the round of 16 against South Korea, but he admitted that the quarterfinal exit left him psychologically devastated.

“Even before I went to training, I wanted to go home, to my room, I didn’t know what was going on in my head, I even told my father that I was going to give up soccer. Isn’t it sad to say that? It’s crazy to tell your father that you want to give up, because he worked so 메이저토토사이트 hard for me and my dreams,” he told ESPN Brazil.

The impact of missing the World Cup was profound. To add insult to injury, Hicharisson was involved in a dispute with his agent during the time he was struggling with his World Cup exit. The feud with his agent made it even harder for him.

“When I played in the World Cup, I was at my peak,” says Hicharisson. But I was at my limit. I don’t want to talk about suicide. I was depressed, I wanted to give up, I was mentally strong, but after the World Cup, everything seemed to fall apart,” he confesses.

It was only with the help of a psychotherapist that he was able to solve his problems. Talking to a therapist helped him open up and overcome his depression.

“I think my therapist saved my life,” he says. If you need psychotherapy, you should find a therapist. It’s good to open up and talk to a therapist. It can save your life,” he said, and highly recommends talking to a therapist to anyone who is going through a psychologically challenging situation like he was.

“There used to be a stigma against psychological counseling,” says Hishalisson. Even in my family, there are people who think I’m crazy for going to a therapist. But counseling is a wonderful thing, and it was the best discovery of my life,” he added.

Since his return, Hicharisson has been a different player under Postecoglou this season, playing more often on the left wing with Son Heung-min often up front, but he has still been very productive with five goals and three assists in the first half of the season.

Notably, during Son’s absence at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) 2023 Asian Cup in Qatar, the striker exploded for five goals in four consecutive games. Tottenham didn’t lose a single game in which he scored during that span thanks to his performance.

However, the Frenchman hasn’t been able to play up front in his natural position, with Son Heung-min continuing to play up front.

The January transfer window also saw the arrival of Timo Werner on loan, with Son up front and Werner on the left. Although he has returned from his knee injury, he is still not fully fit and has only been used as a substitute. With the lingering effects of his knee injury, it’s likely that Son will continue up front for the foreseeable future.
