‘Brandon 6 innings, 3 runs Heo Kyung-min clinching hit’ Doosan wins 2nd straight over Kiwoom No. 5 Soo Sung

The Doosan Bears used a strong offensive performance against the Kiwoom Heroes to secure their second straight win.

Doosan defeated Kiwoom 11-4 in an away game of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League

at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul 성인웹툰 on Wednesday.

With their second straight victory, Doosan remained in fifth place with 52 wins, one loss, and 51

draws. Last-place Kiwoom, on the other hand, failed to rebound, falling to 46-3-66 on the season.

Doosan starter Brandon Waddell picked up his sixth win of the season with a quality start, allowing

three runs (two earned) on seven hits in six innings.

In particular, Brandon was hit in the back of the head by a pitch while facing Kiwoom’s Ronnie

Dawson in the first inning, but he shook it off and threw 115 pitches.

On the other side of the plate, Heo Kyung-min hit a single with the bases loaded in the sixth

inning with the score tied 3-3.

Kiwoom starter Jang Jae-young earned his second win of the season with five innings of

two-hit ball, but the bullpen was unable to secure the victory.

Multi-hit performances from Kim Hye-sung and Dawson were also disappointing.

Doosan opened the scoring in the first inning when Jung Soo-bin led off with a walk and

Kim Jae-ho followed with a single to put runners on first and second. 일본야동 Jose Rojas followed with a two-run double to center field to take the lead.

Kiwoom pulled within one in the bottom of the inning on a sacrifice fly by Kim Hwijip with runners on first and third.

In the top of the fifth inning, Song Sung-moon’s grounder to second base was misplayed by second baseman Kang Seung-ho, giving Kiwoom a 3-2 lead.

However, Doosan quickly turned the game around. In the top of the sixth inning, Kang Seung-ho singled and Kiwoom right fielder Lim Byung-wook made a bad throw to third base, tying the game at 3-3.

Doosan regained the lead in the bottom of the inning when Heo Kyung-min hit an RBI single to center field.

In the top of the seventh, Doosan put runners on first and second with a single by Jung Soo-bin and a sacrifice bunt by Kim Jae-ho, then scored on a Rojas RBI double.

Kiwoom got one run back in the bottom of the seventh on a solo home run by Kim Hui-jip, but the Doosan bats were unable to stop them, scoring three more runs in the eighth and ninth innings to completely demoralize them.

In the bottom of the ninth, Kiwoom scored two runs on Song Sung-moon’s double, but Lee Ju-hyung retired the side in center field, 한국야동 leaving them with a seven-run deficit.
