“Napoli complete detailed talks with Bayern Munich ‘official’ by weekend”
Although no official announcement has been made, the transfer of defender Kim Min-jae (27) to Bayern Munich (Germany) appears to be virtually complete. The Napoli club reportedly negotiated until the last minute and received a buyout fee of more than €50 million ($71.1 million).
“Bayern Munich’s signing of Kim Min-jae is imminent,” French media outlet Footmercato reported in an exclusive report on Aug. 18 (KST), “and after weeks of negotiations, he will be able to wear a Bayern jersey.”
Kim had reportedly reached a personal agreement with the Bavarians earlier in the day, but there has been no official announcement from the club.
Bayern Munich also paid a €50 million buyout to Napoli, and the club’s medical staff had already flown in and completed a medical.
Putmercato added: “Everything is done now. Napoli, who wanted to include some bonus options and a percentage in the event of a sell-on (resale), have achieved their goal,” said Foot Mercato, adding that “thanks to the unrelenting negotiations of Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis, the club was able to receive €57 million more than the buyout.”
According to reports, Napoli received more than the original buyout amount from Bayern due to their persistence in negotiations.
“There is now nothing stopping Bayern Munich from signing the Napoli defender (Kim Min-jae),” the outlet reported, adding that “an official announcement is expected by the end of the week.”
Earlier in the day, Bayern Munich chairman and CEO Jan Christian Dresden also expressed confidence that Kim will join the club soon.
“Kim is an exciting player and of course we want him to join us,” he said, “We are not ready to make an announcement yet, 토토사이트 but I think it will happen in the next few days,” emphasizing that the signing is not a problem.
