Son Ho-young hits multiple home runs against his ‘home team’ Lotte defeats LG in Ulsan

The Lotte Giants defeated the LG Twins led by Son Ho-young’s multi-home runs.

Lotte won 8-3 in the home game against LG in the 2024 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League held at Ulsan Munsu Stadium on the 3rd, with Son Ho-young hitting two home runs and driving in four RBIs.

Lotte, in 9th place, recently won two games in a row after beating LG in Ulsan, where the game was canceled the day before due to heat waves, and kept a glimmer of hope for the post-season.

The key player in the victory that day was Son Ho-young, who was traded from LG to Lotte on March 30th.

Son Ho-young took the lead early in the first inning by hitting a three-run home run to left field with two outs and runners on first and second base after Yoon Dong-hee and Jeon Jun-woo’s hits.

Lotte had another chance to score in the 토토 second inning with runners on 1st and 2nd base, but Jo Bo-geun’s hit resulted in a triple play that went to 3rd, 2nd, and 1st base, missing the chance to score.

The triple play is the 82nd in KBO League history and the first of the season.

LG, which escaped the crisis, started to pursue in the top of the 4th inning when Moon Bo-kyung hit a solo home run to left field.

In the 6th inning, with two outs, Park Dong-won hit a two-run home run to left field to tie the score at 3-3.

However, Lotte took the lead again 4-3 in the bottom of the 7th when Ko Seung-min brought in Hwang Seong-bin, who had hit a left-field hit, with a right-field double.

In the bottom of the 8th, Son Ho-young hit a solo home run to left field, widening the score gap to 5-3.
